The series of images offers a provocative look at the increasing presence of artificial intelligence (AI) in our daily lives. By using red threads that shape architecture, furniture, fashion, and other human-made objects, the pervasive influence of AI on our world is symbolized. In one of the central works of the series, a depiction of a woman, metaphorical and visual representation of AI, stands at the center of the red thread network and "envelops" people. In contrast, this network closely interacts with untouched nature, suggesting a symbiosis. This illustrates the increasing control by AI and our growing dependence on it. A possible influence that AI could have on humans and nature is visualized. It also discusses the possibility of whether the "replacement" of humans by AI and a potentially accompanying new value compass could offer a chance for the world to recover and develop anew. Both optimism and concerns about the future of our world are expressed. The series also questions human interaction with nature and examines to what extent our civilization is compatible with a utopian world and raises the question of whether a utopian world could mean dystopia for humanity. The series of images encourages reflection on the impacts and potential of artificial intelligence.
The project was developed using Midjourney Version 5 and Chat GPT 4.
This is a collection of images that show the possible way architecture might look in this imaginary world.
In these images AI is symbolically depicted as a woman (two variations). Contrary to the human figures that are also encapsulated by the red structures, her face is not obscured by the mass, but rather, everything appears to emanate from her. She is visualized as the center of the organic red structure, serving as the core from which the interconnected threads of AI extend and weave throughout the scene.
I used ChatGPT to develop my rough concept into a prompt. I then remixed a multitude of my photos with variating prompts to slowly develop more fitting images. By always feeding new images back into the prompts, I ultimately created a dynamic and ever-evolving collection, amassing over 1000 images in the end.
