In case of an emergency, how long will it take you to gather all the necessary documents? How many drawers do you have to go through? How long does it take someone to find your allergy passport if you have an allergic reaction? Too long.
PreCard helps users save precious minutes. PreCard saves lives.
Every Precard user receives an individual card after registration. The displayed QR code gives access to a list of customizable Information about the User. Users can now leave their allergy passport, organ donation card and vaccination card at home.
With a quick scan of the QR code in the app or on the card, helpers will see information relevant in emergency situations. The Information can be seen in the App or a regular browser.
The task for this project was to redesign the color red. After some time of problem-solving, we (a group of 4 people) came to the topic of dying by the association between dying and blood. We then decided to talk to people who deal with Death on a daily basis. We ended up at DGHS-Deutsche Gesellschaft für Humanes Sterben e.V., where we got most of our insights.
The most interesting thing we found was that people are not afraid of loneliness or death, but of losing autonomy. People want to decide for themselves what will happen to them if they get sick or are no longer able to live a normal life. With this in mind, we interviewed people on the streets of Berlin. We discovered that many people were concerned about not being able to communicate their wishes in an emergency. But none of them had taken any precautions like organ donor cards or living wills. This was mostly due to it being perceived as a big hassle, complicated or not coming to mind.
As an Answer to those concerns, we developed preCard. Now you don't have to research all the topics individually, everything is in one place, easy to access.
